The Bike Phantom Appears at ATA/Family School

The Bike Phantom, and other marvels of transportation, helped start the day at Arts and Technology Academy/Family School with a Pep Rally to get students excited about Walk + Bike to School Day!
Along with 27 other local schools ATA/Family School will be celebrating the International Walk + Bike to School Day on Wednesday, October 7th. They’ll gather near César Chávez Elementary School, on the other side of Westmoreland Park, and walk the half mile up and over 18th, through the park, and to the school where kids will enjoy hot chocolate and other treats. They have a load of prizes to give away in a raffle including locally made t-shirts, cool bike helmets, bike gear, a backpack and more! Mayor Kitty Piercy, parents, teachers and other guests will be joining the walk which is a celebration of choosing active, healthy, and sustainable modes of transport to get to school.
